A Legacy of Excellence: ContactConnect 2025

Our flagship international congress, ContactConnect 2025, held at the Radisson Blu Conference Centre in September, was a landmark event. Earmarked as one of the premier contact lens gatherings ever hosted on South African soil, the conference brought together global expertise and local passion, reinforcing our commitment to world-class continuing education.

Leading the Charge in Innovation

The CLSSA is not just a society; we are a bridge to the future of optometry. We are dedicated to ensuring South African practitioners have access to the world's most advanced lens technologies:

• EyePrintPRO (EPP): Since 2019, the CLSSA has paved the way for this prosthetic glass technology to be available locally.
• WAVE Lenses: Following the success of our 2025 conference, we are thrilled to announce that WAVE contact lenses are being introduced to South Africa via CLSSA channels, offering unprecedented customization for your patients.

The CLSSA continues to act as your voice regarding contact lens-related matters. As clinicians ourselves, we understand the need for coding, regulations, and developments. We have open relationships with the SAOA and more.

Why Your Membership Matters

The CLSSA is a registered Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) run by dedicated colleagues who volunteer their time and expertise for the betterment of the profession.

Your nominal annual membership fee allows us to:

• Secure Innovations: Negotiate the entry of global technologies (like WAVE and EPP) into the SA market.
• Host World-Class Events: Build on the success of ContactConnect to bring international speakers to your doorstep. You will always receive more value back when registering for new conferences when you are a member of CLSSA
• Your Personal Contact Representatives: Represent the interests of contact lens clinicians when contact lens-related matters need input, we have an open line to the SAOA and other bodies needing advice.
• Foster Community: Provide a platform for networking with like-minded professionals and industry leaders.
