Dina Krüger-Bornman 

Dina Krüger-Bornman received her optometry degree from the Rand Afrikaans University in Johannesburg in 1998.  After graduating she entered private practice where she has worked for several practices. She received the certificate of advanced study in ocular disease and diagnostic pharmaceutical application in 2002 and the

Certificate of advanced study in therapeutic pharmaceutical agents (TPA’s) through New College of Optometry in Boston in 2004.  She has a special interest in contact lenses and became involved with the University of the Free State in 2003. The department optometry at the University of the Free State started in 2002. Dina was involved with the writing of the curriculum for the undergraduate Optometry degree since 2003. She has lectured various subjects to first- and second-year students. In August 2003 she went back to private practice specializing in contact lenses but continued to lecture on a part time basis. She developed the contact lens curriculum for third and final year optometry students. From 2007 to 2013 she was the module leader for contact lenses for final year optometry students and was running the contact lens specialty clinic at the National Hospital in Bloemfontein. She is currently practising with her husband at Pasteur Optometrists at the Pasteur Eye Centre in Bloemfontein.  She is a wife and mom of two boys and love to spent time with family and friends. She tries to maintain a balanced lifestyle with dancefit exercises and running in her free time.
